Why the glass is made after we measure
Toughened glass can't be cut or drilled once it's toughened. Every size and every hole is done before, so we measure the opening ourselves, take off what the operator system needs, and only then order the glass. If we get a measurement wrong, that's on us.
Where they work best
Between a living area and a study or home office, closing off an open-plan kitchen to keep the smell in, at the end of a hallway, or into a walk-in robe. Not for outside doors; for those see openers for your existing door.
Questions
Is frameless glass safe with kids?
The glass is toughened safety glass, which breaks into small blunt pieces if it ever breaks. We add a visibility strip at eye height so nobody walks into it, and the sensor stops the door closing on anyone in the way.
How wide can the panel be?
Up to 1,600 mm for one panel. Wider openings use two panels opening from the middle, priced on request.
Does it need a wall to slide along?
It needs clear wall beside the opening as wide as the panel, or a glass side panel for it to slide past.
How long does it take?
About two weeks: a week and a bit to make the glass after we measure, then one day to fit.
